How to create a wealthy life mindset

A wealthy life has nothing to do with money, but more of a positive mindset. It can be difficult seeing the immense bounty we have in our lives and how to make the most of it. So if you want to change the lens you look through- try a few of these.

  1. Success within.

Success is within, not environmental. Once you act in this manner you realize that you don’t need a newer car or bigger house. Your inner happiness doesn’t depend on others to see your success or to have others tell you you are successful. Suddenly you will start to live within your means and enjoy the little victories, along with the big ones.

  1. Knowledge.

There is no greater spice to life than expanding your knowledge. It makes you engage in your world and gain a better understanding of others. Listening to new music or podcasts, reading a book, or attending a seminar/class can spark creativity and passion. Try to minimize binge watching television or surfing the internet aimlessly.

  1. Stop the bleeding.

Figure out where you are hemorrhaging money/resources and stop it. All financial and resource decisions should be thought out and deliberate. This includes your time and effort (not just money). Stay away from gambling or giving money/resources away that you can’t afford to never get back. Make clear decisions if you are truly okay with what is happening.

  1. Emotions.

It is important to learn to think before you react. Moving on impulse creates poor decisions that are often regretted down the line. Cultivate skills to control emotions and learn to cope in a healthy manner. Even making a list can be helpful in a stressful moment. Remember that ‘time-outs’ are not just for kids and are very useful tools for decision making.

  1. Work extra hard and help others too.

Working hard makes us feel like we are productive and useful. Make sure you put your best effort in and keep your energy up by taking care of yourself. The icing on the cake of life is helping people. So make sure that your hard work also assists others in improving their world too.

  1. Stop wishing.

Instead of daydreaming, start creating real steps towards your goals. Make the goals specific to you with very clear steps to get there. As you set these up, make sure that you set deadlines to check back from time to time in order to make modifications as needed.

  1. See the forest.

Sometimes it is hard to see the big picture when we feel like we are in the weeds. We get consumed with survival and forget to look up at the major goals we set. One tactic to get around this is taking a few minutes everyday at the same time (maybe with meditation or before bed) to refocus on why you are doing what you are doing- the end goal. That way you know why you have to be in the thorns and weeds, which makes that grinding process a bit easier. And you can reevaluate if you even are on the right track.

  1. Self care.

THIS. IS. CRUCIAL. Your self care should be seen in the same light as food, water, and shelter. Without focus and effort on activities like exercise, healthy diet, and getting into nature – all other goals/activities can never happen. Make it a priority and set boundaries to protect your mental well being.

  1. Toxic people.

If the people around you are not encouraging, it is okay for you to not include them into your life. Create a healthy support structure, even if it whittles down to only a few people. If you don’t want to push them completely out, then set up boundaries and protections so they can’t affect you in a negative way.

  1. Opposition.

See barriers and setbacks as a learning experience that will make you better in the future. Making mistakes or failing is the best way to see clearly an issue and develop skill to move past it. This also increases resiliency and clarity toward goals.

  1. Why.

This is the most important one. Know why you do what you do. What is the global purpose and personal purpose? Because you need to know the both of these. This helps us when we need to ‘power through’ a difficult time or have failed. This is what keeps us going and being successful.

My Challenge to you: Try to get your own ‘Wealthy Life Mindset’. Pick one of these and try it. See how you can modify them to fit you, your purpose and drive.

Happy Wealthy Life Mindset creation friends!
